YSL Resort Footwear 2012

TGIF! It’s the day that we’ve all been looking forward to all week! Not only because it’s the last weekday of 2012, or because it’s the end of what for some of us has been a hectic work week. But it’s that wonderful day of the week when ShoesTV takes a walk though designer resort footwear heaven!

This week we’ve decided to highlight Yves Saint Laurent’s resort footwear collection 2012. And if you thought that you’d seen the last of wedges and platforms you were sorely mistaken. Pumped up stilettos, platforms with stacked heels, and floral printed wedges with wooden heels are hallmarks of this collection that has clearly been designed for the woman who loves luxury and style.

The collection is also clearly geared toward the woman who loves height! While there are a few pairs of comfy, stylish flats from YSL this season, the bulk of the line is made up of stellar stilettos that will perfectly accentuate a flowy, flirty sun dress, retro one-piece swimsuit, or an elegant pants suit.

But one of the most spectacular things about this collection is the simple primary color palette that was used throughout many of the designs. The bright bursts of red and blue as well as sophisticated colorblocked pumps make it easy for the wearer to integrate these shoes into her existing resort wardrobe.
