Footwear company Juil is getting its charity on. Juil has joined forces with famous yogini Shiva Rea on a limited edition sandal to beneift the Global Mala Project and Yoga for Recess. Juil has also teamed up with Soles4Souls to provide shoes to people in need around the world, in effect becoming a "buy one, give one" company.
Juil Sandals
For every Juil sandal purchased, a shoe will be donated to someone in need living in a developing country. "Even though we believe in connecting with the earth, it is important to protect your feet," said Juil Director of Operations and Certified Pedorthist Billy Kanter. "That was part of the concept behind our product. How can you feel barefoot while still being protected? We're excited to be a buy one, give one company."

Juil is also excited to team up with Rea: “Shiva Rea, being one of the top yoga instructors in the world, global activist, and a sign of empowerment to women made us want to partner with her for a limited edition sandal,” said Juil's Peter Coulter. “[She] always wanted something that would ignite her ‘inner goddess’ as she put it and always felt like gold was an empowering color.” Only 387 pairs of this metallic gold Brio style sandal, named Gold the Shiva, will be produced with a signed and numbered card from Shiva Rea.

Most importantly, the proceeds of these divine sandals support Shiva’s Global Mala Project which unites the global yoga community to form a "mala around the earth" and Yoga for Recess--an initiative that provides yoga classes to children during recess hours.
