Celebrity Shoe Spies Spot Gilles Marini

ShoesTV relies on a crew of eagle-eyed informants to report on what shoes celebs are rocking from the red carpet to the gas station. This week, they caught French hottie Gilles Marini rocking a pair of ps kaufman men's boots at the world premiere of Liam Neeson's new film "The Grey."

Marini smiles sheepishly as he confesses that he doesn't know what brand of shoes he is wearing.
Marini couldn't remember what brand of boots he was wearing. "They're awesome," he told our Celebrity Shoe Spies. "They are made by this guy from Santa Monica and he makes the shoes with tires." That guy is Paul Kaufman, an old friend of ShoesTV, and a maker of fine boots for both men and women.

"They are incredible," Marini said as he showed off his ps kaufman boots. "They cannot be destroyed. I like that a lot."
Marini obviously has good taste in shoes. Paul Kaufman is a true artist and makes shoes that stand the test of time. He uses recycled tires for the soles of each pair of boots. Last year, Kaufman collaborated with Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony. The collection revived Kaufman's NaNa Shoes, a brand popular in the 90's.
After Marini showed off his shoes, he immediately headed into the theatre in downtown Los Angeles just in time to catch the beginning of "The Grey." The movie is about eight survivors of a plane crash in Alaska that have to brave the elements while avoiding a pack of wild wolves. We hope they are wearing sensible shoes...
