adidas signs Robert Griffin III

Today adidas announced that they have signed 2011 Heisman Trophy winner and top NFL Draft prospect Robert Griffin III of Baylor University and ShoesTV has the scoop. The quarterback is already a star on and off the field--he was the Associated Press College Football Player of the Year, an Academic All-American and a Davey O'Brien Award recipient.

Get ready to see more of Griffin III soon. He told ESPN that he is planning to turn pro on March 23. His pro debut and throwing will be live streamed on ESPN3. He will also be stepping up to the plate with adidas by starring in marketing campaigns and giving his input into the development of football, running and training apparel and footwear--including the popular adizero series.

Griffin III joins an elite roster of adidas athletes including NBA MVP Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls, Defensive Player of the Year Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic, MLB All-Star Justin Upton of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Defensive Rookie of the Year Von Miller of the Denver Broncos.
